Transition to a sustainable energy mix: The contribution of the o&g industry
Offshore Mediterranean Conference & Exhibition 2017 will be held in Ravenna, Italy, on March 29-31, 2017.
OMC 2017 will address the theme of transition: the Paris Cop 21 Agreement and the recent decline in oil prices promise to reshape the Oil & Gas Industry.
Over three days a wealth of industry professionals and decision makers will share ideas, new research and innovation, highlighting how the oil & gas industry can and must contribute to a sustainable future.
The recent huge gas discoveries in the Mediterranean confirm once more its role as a natural energy hub, capable of channeling the energy flows from Africa to the European continent.
Financial cooperation forum on oil and gas industry
With a steady rebound in oil price, oil & gas industry will enjoy resurgence in popularity. Following this trend, the financial cooperation forum is to be held during Offshore Mediterranean Conference and Exhibition 2017.
During this forum, the guests are entitled for one-on-one discussions with financial institutions, whose preferential credit propositions and investment proposals are sure to satisfy their capital needs.
Advanced methods in safety management of offshore oil & gas activities
Organized by University of Bologna in cooperation with foreign partner universities and O&G companies operating in Italy, the course on advanced methods for safety and risk monitoring in offshore activities refers to: construction, drilling and production. Risk identification tools, methods for quantitative risk evaluation, analysis and application to new technologies are some of issues addressed by the course.
OMC organizes the Offshore Mediterranean Conference & Exhibition and the Renewable Energy Mediterranean Conference & Exhibition – REM. The Offshore Mediterranean Conference and Exhibition is a biannual event that draws to Ravenna the major international oil companies, from Europe, Nord Africa and the Middle East. Next edition will be held from 29th to 31st March 2017.
The first OMC edition in 1993 was attended by a few thousand visitors and 55 exhibitors. In 20 years, OMC reached an important position among the main oil & gas exhibitions and thanks to its presence Ravenna turns every two years into the capital of the energy industry.
From 2012, OMC has been promoting the Renewable Energy Mediterranean Conference & Exhibition – REM, a new exhibition on renewable energies. Ravenna hosted REM 2014 on 26-27 March 2014.
