ROMGAZ Joins OGMP 2.0
S.N.G.N. ROMGAZ S.A., the largest natural gas producer in Romania and one of the largest producers in Eastern Europe, has joined the Oil and Gas Methane Partnership 2.0 (OGMP 2.0), UNEP’s flagship reporting and mitigation programme.

With ROMGAZ on board, OGMP 2.0’s coverage of the European upstream sector jumps to nearly 75%.

The Oil & Gas Methane Partnership 2.0 (OGMP 2.0) is the United Nations Environment Programme’s flagship oil and gas reporting and mitigation programme.
OGMP 2.0 is the only comprehensive, measurement-based reporting framework for the oil and gas industry that improves the accuracy and transparency of methane emissions reporting.
OGMP, launched in 2014 by the Climate and Clean Air Coalition, was ratcheted up in scope and ambition in November 2020 to become OGMP 2.0.
OGMP 2.0 is a more ambitious and comprehensive reporting framework that fosters reporting of methane emissions and directly connects it to strategic mitigation actions. This comprehensiveness allows to track and compare progress and performance across companies.
