Leveling up the Romanian Solar Market through International Cooperation
Returning PV event to unite key market stakeholders to exchange insights and connections
Returning for the third consecutive year, The Solarplaza Summit Romania will facilitate knowledge sharing and network building to strengthen the Romanian solar industry. Coupling local stakeholders with experienced international players, the event will explore the major challenges and opportunities in Romania’s growing solar market.
Closing 2022 with 1.7 GW of installed PV capacity, Romania is on track to reach 2.5 GW of cumulative capacity by the end of this year. Looking further ahead, the country is projected to build that number out to 11.2 GW by 2030. This potential is fully reflected in the country’s solar pipeline, which – at the beginning of 2023 – included 16.7 GW of PV projects in various stages of permitting.
As the Romanian solar landscape is in full bloom and developing in complexity, it’s an ideal moment to get involved in the market or further cement one’s current position in it. Opportunities to thrive remain abundant but there is a need to adapt to the ever-evolving challenges as the country transitions beyond the ‘young’ market phase.
Join the 2024 Solarplaza Summit Romania in Bucharest on 24 April 2024 to unlock local insights into large-scale solar projects and build your network. Discover the potential of financing, explore new acquisitions, and dive into PPA and energy storage opportunities as the business model behind utility-scale solar expands. Learn to navigate the ‘developing-market challenges’ and understand policy shaping firsthand. Connect with industry experts, investors, and global players and establish reliable local partnerships.
With a program co-developed by the Romanian Photovoltaic Industry Association (RPIA) and the Romanian Energy Suppliers Association (AFEER), as well as key industry players Photon Energy, E.ON, CRE, and Ijdelea & Associates, this event will be the main platform for high-level industry discussions that help define and shape Romania’s solar energy future.
