Bilfinger Successfully Develops a Cooperation with BSOG in Romania

Bilfinger, the leading global industrial services provider, has won a series of engineering projects under the universal framework agreement that has been closed with Black Sea Oil & Gas (BSOG) company.
It is the first new offshore gas development project in the Black Sea built in over 30 years that managed to extract gas from the Black Sea in Romania. Bilfinger services are connected with both – the onshore and offshore facilities that are able to produce approximately 10% of Romania’s gas demand today, with a tendency to grow.

Project details

The framework agreement has been signed for the period 2023-2026. Bilfinger makes a natural partner to Black Sea Oil & Gas company due to its in-depth energy market know-how in the region together with the focus on sustainability and efficiency in all its operations.

The engineering expert teams of Bilfinger Eastern Europe and Bilfinger Middle East have completed several projects so far, and there are others that are ongoing. The teams focus mainly on:

  • Detailed Design Services for incorporation of new Pig Traps System (onshore and offshore). The most complex project with involvement of all technical disciplines;
  • Several AS-BUILT projects, where the teams prepared the AS-BUILT documents package for different disciplines, based on red-markups prepared in site by General Contractor;
  • Permitting and Technical documentation for onshore and offshore, in accordance with the local legislation.

“We are proud of the achievements of our team, and we will continue delivering only the best engineering services to our customer with efficiency, flexibility and focus on the sustainable solutions. We look forward to further cooperation opportunities with Black Sea Oil & Gas,” said Florin Prunaru, Process Engineering Business Unit Director at Bilfinger in Romania.
