Endorsed by the Ministry of Energy of Romania, the Official 6th Balkans Petroleum Summit will be held in Bucharest on 16-17 October 2018, hosted by the UK Summit leader, IN-VR Oil & Gas.
Since 2012, Ministries and oil companies meet annually during the Balkans Petroleum Summit. For years there was no other meeting point that gathered all the regional decision makers, from government officials, oil and gas companies to key players in one place, under the same roof, until Chryssa Tsouraki, Managing Director of IN-VR, conceptualised Balkans Petroleum.
Since its inception in 2012, the Balkans Petroleum Summit is the must-attend event for anyone seeking to enter the Balkans market. More than 1500 attendees have gathered for an opportunity to network with government ministries and industry leaders.
The Most Underexplored region in Europe
“Balkans is one of the most underexplored regions in the world, with very important discoveries in Romania and Albania (East and West Balkans) Despite the fact that most Balkan countries have strong economic and trade ties, there was limited to no exchange of know-how in the energy sector, there was no established common meeting point where they could meet, collaborate and form a mutually beneficial know-how exchange. Recognising how vital this is, we have established the Balkans Petroleum Summit.” said Chryssa Tsouraki, founder of the summit.
During last year’s 5th Balkans Summit every key player was present, including: Total, Edison, Hellenic Petroleum, Bankers Petroleum, Weatherford, PGS, Corinth Pipeworks, ENI, Energean, Ascent Resources and many more.
What is new in the 6th Balkans Petroleum Summit?
“We’re expecting another sold-out Balkans Petroleum Summit, with a strong Romanian and Black Sea presence. We are very thankful the Romanian Ministry of Energy has endorsed the Balkans Petroleum Summit, and for their excellent cooperation for the preparation of the event.” said Chryssa Tsouraki
