Bucharest University of Economic Studies and SLB Collaboration

Enhancing Student Learning

The Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE) has opened the new academic year with a renovated amphitheater and modernized learning spaces, designed to spark curiosity and foster collaboration.

This initiative is supported by SLB, a global technology company and a key employer in Romania for roles in finance, legal, supply chain, information technology, and human resources.

Building a Strong Foundation

The project is part of SLB’s broader effort to strengthen ties between academia and industry.

The company has a long history of supporting education in Romania, including the development of a specialized laboratory for research and training in energy engineering at the Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti.

“At SLB, we take pride in building long-lasting collaborations with leading academic institutions across Romania,” says Dan Craita, SLB’s East Europe country manager. “Together, we’re creating dynamic learning environments that inspire and equip the next generation of professionals to tackle the energy industry’s most pressing challenges.”

Looking Ahead

Beyond upgraded spaces, SLB and ASE Studies are developing new ways to collaborate.

“Furthering our collaboration with the university will give students access to gamified training, connections with energy industry experts, and opportunities to contribute to sustainability-focused projects,” says Raluca Bodeanu, SLB’s regional finance services manager.
