ROMGAZ Awarded with the ‘Nicolae D. Xenopol’ Gold Medal University Merit
The Academy of Economic Studies (ASE) Bucharest celebrates a historic moment – the 110th anniversary of its foundation. At the anniversary, the members of the university community gave a high appreciation to ROMGAZ for its proactive positioning and beneficial contribution to improving the quality of higher education, promoting a structured partnership with the Academy of Economic Studies, providing financial and logistical support for some large-scale professional and scientific events, and facilitating the development of internship programs by students of the university. As a representative actor of the economic and social environment, ROMGAZ received the ‘Nicolae D. Xenopol’ Gold Medal University Merit, the highest distinction awarded to a company, for supporting economic university education.

Over the years, the Academy of Economic Studies has become a pillar of higher education in our country, training generations of specialists in economics and business. Graduates of this institution have distinguished themselves in various fields, both at home and abroad, demonstrating not only solid knowledge and practical skills, but also a high professional ethic. ASE has also had a significant impact on Romania’s economic development. The professors and researchers of this institution have contributed to the creation of coherent economic policies and the implementation of important structural reforms in various fields. This is a special occasion for our company, we thank you for the award and appreciation and we assure you of our unconditional support,” said Razvan Popescu, ROMGAZ CEO.
ROMGAZ carries out, in partnership with the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, numerous actions for the benefit of students, involves teaching and research staff in joint activities, promotes continuous dialogue between academia and company representatives.
“I would like to emphasize that the 110th anniversary of ASE is not only an occasion to celebrate the history and achievements of this institution, but also to encourage us to continue building performance and excellence through a sustainable partnership to promote good practice, professionalism and moral values, setting a good example for the young people we are preparing for their careers and lives,” Razvan Popescu concluded.
The ceremony of awarding the honorary titles ‘Nicolae D. Xenopol’ Gold Medal University Merit on behalf of ROMGAZ was attended by the spokesperson, Andreea Negru.
