Viitorul Energiei Gala – Stepping into the Future

Viitorul Energiei Gala marks an important change of identity in the energy sector: the Oil and Gas Employers’ Federation (Federatia Patronala Petrol si Gaze) becomes the Energy Employers’ Federation (Federația Patronală a Energiei).

On 20 November 2024, a significant moment took place for the Oil and Gas Employers’ Federation (Federatia Patronala Petrol si Gaze): the change of the title to the Energy Employers’ Federation (Federatia Patronala a Energiei), but also of the communication symbols.

The transformation reflects a reality of today: zero-carbon technologies are increasingly joining conventional fuel-based technologies.

It is certain that investments in this area are necessary and welcome, regardless of what the pace of development of renewable energy will be in the future, and the Energy Employers’ Federation will continue to support the existence of a national energy mix as rich as possible.

Romania has important resources, from natural gas to plant mass for biomethane, from oil to areas suitable for voltaic and wind farms, and their exploitation means a secure energy supply for Romania.

The Energy Employers’ Federation (Federatia Patronala a Energiei) believes that we must continue to pursue the country’s energy independence goal, by producing sufficient amounts of energy, using all this multitude of resources. Also, the combined use of conventional and renewable technologies will mean affordable energy for an increasing number of Romanians, both in terms of infrastructure and price.

The energy sector is not only required for diversity, but also for growth, as digitalization and the anticipated development of the industry will require increasing amounts of energy. In order to meet the demands of society, member companies are intensifying their efforts in both directions – both conventional and renewable resources – through significant investments in patents, equipment and staff qualification. The effort of the private sector gains meaning and results in the context of comprehensive, updated legislation, and the Energy Employers’ Federation (Federatia Patronala a Energiei) will continue to be an effective promoter of an adequate legislative framework.

Daniel Apostol, General Director of the Energy Employers’ Federation (Federatia Patronala a Energiei), emphasizes that: “Every year, the Future of Energy Gala has brought together large-scale representatives of the energy sector, whom I thank both for their participation and for their very good collaboration with the federation. It is very important that in this period of change we stay together. Because, without instigating isolationism, we must be aware that Romania is capable of producing its energy at home, in order to provide prosperity to Romanians, to recover its industry, but also to create stability in the region. The gala hosted by the federation is an evening of self-confidence, an assumption of performance as a way to achieve our goals, of good collaboration, values that all of Romania should value and put into practice in all areas. We invite all companies and entities that believe in the same values to join the Federation.”

Gala Viitorul Energiei is an annual event that brings together representatives of the energy sector and valuable partners from other fields. As before any action there are principles which determine the efficiency and correctness of those undertaken, the 2024 edition of the Future of Energy Gala was dedicated to the values cultivated by the energy sector.

During this year’s edition, companies and projects that embody values such as partnership, efficiency, stability, etc., representing a model of excellence for the entire economic environment, were highlighted.
