AFV Beltrame Group Cooperates with Bilfinger Tebodin in Romania

Bilfinger Tebodin team was chosen to provide technical due diligence and master – planning for Donalam Targoviste, one of the two AFV Beltrame Group facilities in Romania. Thus, Bilfinger Tebodin delivers independent, comprehensive check of the technical condition of the existing facility, as well as the risk assessment, prior to initiate the investment in the new facility.

Bilfinger Tebodin manages a new project for AFV Beltrame Group, a company with a history of over a century, one of the largest producers of steel bars and special steels in Europe.

“Based on the results of this first project, next steps will be further agreed. Our aim is to perform as promised and ensure AFV Beltrame Group that we can be their trustful partner for this, and other opportunities,” said George Cursaru, Business Development Manager at Bilfinger Tebodin.

“We have managed to establish a contact with AFV Beltrame Group and once we’ve met and presented ourselves, we have been involved in a first project in Donalam Targoviste, consisting of technical due diligence & master-planning. We are happy to be Beltrame’s partner because we can benefit from our previous experience in metallurgy, and also we are allowed to offer a wide area of services,” added George Cursaru.

“We are committed to transform our plans into reality and turn our site in Targoviste into a state-of-the-art steel plant from all perspectives – technological, environment protection and welfare – at global level. It is an ambitious journey we have initiated, that requires good collaboration between multiple actors. We are happy to work with Bilfinger Tebodin team and we rely on their expertise and deep understanding not only of the sector but of the business environment at large,” Enrico Deganello, Donalam – AFV Beltrame Industrial Director, explained.

AFV Beltrame Group’s investment plans for Donalam Targoviste target not only the modernization and upgrading of the existing plant, but also the construction of a new production unit, unique in the world, which will fall below the emission limits of 50 kg CO2/to of product and which will give Romania a leading position in this industry.
