Dietsmann Awarded New Maintenance Engineering and Inspection Contract by QatarGas

Dietsmann have signed a two-year Asset Master Data Review, Physical Asset Verification & Bill of Material (BOM) Review and Development contract with QatarGas.

In fulfilment with the scope of work of the contract Dietsmann will cover two separate activities.

The first scope of work is the Asset Verification and equipment database updating.

This will be carried out in two ways. First, through desktop-based verification, which will involve looking at the documentation related to around 240,000 items of equipment and checking the required tags are present and correctly specified in current CMMS. And second, through physical verification and data collection, which will involve going on-site to locate the missing information (name plate, tag plate, manufacturer, model etc.) related to around 260,000 items of equipment and subsequently updating the documentation and SAP accordingly.

The second scope of work is Bill of Material (BOM) updating and development.

The BOM is the list of spares needed to ensure repair of every individual item of equipment on site, for example the list of bearings, gaskets, etc. for a specific electrical motor in a specific system.

The job consists in improve current spares referencing for each equipment by cross checking current stocks levels, spares characteristics from documentation and feedback from spares suppliers. It concerns an approximative amount of 70 00 BOM to verify and 150 00 new BOM to create.

“I would like to share my gratitude with QatarGas for having awarded a new MEI (Maintenance Engineering and Inspection) contract to Dietsmann.
