ROMGAZ-Weatherford Partnership to Digitalize Production Operations
ROMGAZ, the main natural gas producer and supplier in Romania, has concluded an eight-year contract with Weatherford International, for the implementation of a real-time digital well parameters monitoring system. This initiative marks a first for ROMGAZ and reflects its commitment to accelerate the digital transformation and production automation process in line with its strategic goals.
The technical solution provided by Weatherford will allow collection and transmission of critical data from thousands of wells contributing to the optimization of production, the increase of operational efficiency and the improvement of decision-making process using cloud and AI-based technologies.

The contract provides for the implementation of a digital monitoring campaign in existing locations leveraging automated infrastructure supplied by Weatherford. The systems will provide continuous visibility on well conditions, enabling prompt interventions and more reliable operations.
