Future Energy Leaders Romania’s New Management Team

Future Energy Leaders (FEL) Romania, the youth platform of the Romanian National Committee of World Energy Council (RNC-WEC), has announced the composition of the new management team for 2025.

During the General Assembly of FEL Romania in January 2025, the new management team of the Steering Committee, responsible for the coordination of the program, was elected. Thus, Olivian Savin has been elected new Executive Director of FEL Romania, together with the new management team of the departments, consisting of the following members: Raluca Andronoiu – Marketing and Communication Manager, Iuliana Ilisescu – Programs and Events Manager, Raluca Gabor – Regulations and Public Affairs Manager, Pavel Stan – Community Manager.

The newly elected management team of FEL Romania will continue the mission of strengthening the program’s projects and developing new opportunities for young energy professionals. They will shape the community of young energy professionals to actively contribute to the industry and adapt global energy trends into local policy recommendations, creating a dynamic and accessible environment that facilitates discovery and understanding of the energy field today.

Olivian Savin continues his journey in FEL Romania, taking over the position of Executive Director, after two years in which he coordinated the Marketing and Communication department of the organization. Rareș Hurghiș has coordinated FEL Romania for two mandates and remains with the new team as Board Advisory.

Since joining the community, Olivian has been part of the team writing articles, organizing conferences and training sessions, taking care of the organization’s image and liaising with partners. Olivian has a PhD in energy engineering, graduated as head of class of the Faculty of Energetics of UPB with specialization in hydropower. He followed an international research master’s degree in France at Grenoble INP, then worked at one of the most important players on the European and global energy market, Electricité de France (EDF), where he completed an industrial PhD thesis, finishing his higher education in 3 different languages. He returned to Romania and worked in the private regulatory sector, now coordinating the independent aggregation technical work of one of the first licensed companies in this field, Nano Energies. He has been part of Leadership Leaders and the Aspen Young Leaders Program, and due to his involvement and impact in the field, he was included in 2023 in the Forbes 30 under 30 Romania list.

I look forward, together with this dedicated team in the program, to strengthening partnerships and continuing to develop valuable skills, expertise and opportunities for young energy professionals, not least to strengthening the impact of our community by working with the public, private sectors and academia. We want FEL Romania to be a platform that inspires, educates and supports the next generation of young professionals. The energy of the future depends on tomorrow’s leaders,” said Olivian Savin.

Raluca Andronoiu becomes Marketing and Communication Manager, coordinating this year’s activity of the department within FEL Romania. Her professional experience in the energy sector is consolidated in the Corporate Communications team of ENGIE Romania, of which she has been a member for over three years. Raluca A. contributes to maintaining brand consistency across several business lines such as supply and conventional energy, energy infrastructure, renewable energy and energy solutions. Also, in 2023, Raluca A. was selected as a juror in the Civil Society Gala competition, a project of The Institute, based on her impact and involvement in the area of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), thus confirming her expertise in the field and her active contribution to the development of initiatives with social impact. She graduated from the Faculty of Marketing at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest and the Master’s program focused on PR and Communication.

Iuliana Ilisescu takes on the role of Programs and Events Manager. A graduate of the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, with a consolidated experience in the development of renewable energy projects, Iuliana works as Project Manager at PPC Renewables Romania, an industry leader, contributing to the implementation of innovative solutions for a sustainable energy future. She joined FEL Romania in 2024 and has actively contributed to the strategic directions of the organization through involvement and support in the Women for Women mentoring program, organization of the Women in Energy event and contributions to the Regional Energy Forum (FOREN).

Raluca Gabor has been heading the Regulatory and Public Affairs department of FEL Romania for one year and is re-elected by the members for another mandate. Raluca G. graduated from Nicolae Titulescu University Law School and is a lawyer with more than 11 years of experience in the energy field. Her career started during the first wave of renewable projects, quickly expanded with related topics such as the green certificates state aid scheme, continued with the unbundling of supply and distribution activities, attempts to liberalize the electricity and gas markets, and later the liberalization of bilateral electricity contracts and the modernization of the centralized market. She culminated in efforts to develop onshore and offshore oil and gas projects, move towards carbon neutrality, mining, natural resources and petrochemicals, and mature investments in renewable energy. She currently coordinates the energy and natural resources practice of SPRL Stratulat Albulescu.

Pavel Stan takes over the role of Community Manager at FEL Romania. He graduated from Drexel University in the USA with a B.S. in Entrepreneurship and Innovation and spent six months studying Japanese at Akita International University, Japan. In the past, he has worked in the UiPath team in Bucharest, in the procurement department, Deloitte Consulting, in financial management consulting services and in the University of Pennsylvania, in the Audit and Compliance department. With four years of experience in the energy sector within the Simtel Team group, Pavel Stan is part of the Strategy and Development department, participating in the international expansion of the activity, representing the company in publications and profile events, but also actively interacting with the ANT Energy and GES Furnizare companies of the group, having the role of representing the entire activity of the group, both in Romania and internationally.
